Tournament Teams
Tournament teams are selected to compete in the Little League Tournament. Teams are announced towards the end of the regular season. Players must play on a Little League Regular Season team to be eligible for selection to a Tournament Team. Typically, the teams are as follows:
Tournament Team Player Selection Process
Players are selected for a tournament team based on age and baseball ability. Specialized skills required to successfully compete in tournament play are also considered (such as players proficient at positions of Catcher and Pitcher, players with speed and strong base running skills, etc.). The tournament team Manager selects the tournament team from a pool of available players. The pool of available players is determined by the regular season Managers, League Commissioners, and Player Agent.
Tournament Team Managers
Little League rules govern the eligibility requirements for Tournament Team Managers. Eligible candidates submit their application and qualifications to the GPPLL Board of Directors. The GPPLL Board of Directors evaluates applicants and selects the Tournament Team Managers. Interested candidates can contact GPPLL at volunteers@gppll.com.
