Tigers Fundraiser
Welcome to Fund Raising 2012

Thanks for your support of Grosse Pointe Park Little League. To keep community baseball affordable, we rely heavily on fundraising activities throughout the year.

Thanks to everyone who purchased an ad in our annual yearbook, and please support our sponsors. While it is too late this year to put an advertisement in our book, you can still become a GPPLL Gold ($100), Silver ($50) or Bronze ($25) sponsor. You can also place an ad on our website, www.gppll.com. Contact Tom Bruetsch at TBruetsch@GPPLL.com for more information.
Tickets for our GPPLL Tiger Game on May 20 are still available. Tickets are $24, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting our league. Contact Beth
Kurta at ekurta@comcast.net to get your tickets, and join your GPPLL friends and neighbors for a great night at the ballpark.
We are also looking for donations (i.e. Tiger Tickets, goods or services from your business) to raffle off at our Parents' Party. Please contact TBruetsch@GPPLL.com or Peter Kotula (PKotula@GPPLL.com) if you have an item that you can contribute.
We appreciate your support and are looking forward for another great year of Little League Baseball!
Go PARK!

Keeping Your Children Safe
April 13, 2012

Little League Parents and Volunteers:

With the safety of the players and all Little League volunteers at the top of our list, Little League International is providing information for parents on keeping children safe from sexual abuse predators.

With many leagues already underway and some others starting in the coming weeks, the story, "Proactive Parenting: Use These tips to Help Prevent Children from ever Being Abused," provides 10 tips to keep your children safe by Jill Starishevsky, a prosecutor of child abuse and sex crimes in New York City.

A link to the story is available, at: http://www.littleleague.org/media/newsarchive/2012/Jan-Apr/ProactiveParenting-HelpPreventChildrenFromBeingAbused.htm. More information is available on the Little League website on reporting sexual abuse, at: http://www.littleleague.org/learn/programs/childprotection/ReportingChildAbuse.htm.
